This is an interesting and useful web site with a mix of hardware and software links relevant to embedded developers.  eg3 is described as a leading portal for embedded systems, RTOS, DSP, boards and more.  Among other things, it has links related to computer busses, chip design & FPGAs, communications, and embedded software.

 

ORGANIZATIONS AND STANDARDS

Professional and Technical Consultants Association (PATCA)


PATCA is an association of over 250 consultants, all of whom are highly qualified professionals in their respective disciplines. Intellimetrix is a proud member of PATCA. The web site has a directory of all members, cross-referenced by name, company and specialization. There is a referral service whereby you can request the services of a consultant. Your request is then e-mailed to all PATCA members.

PCI Special Interest Group

This organization maintains the PCI standards. You'll find news about PCI and information about upcoming events. Unfortunately the standards themselves are not downloadable, but you can download an order form that you can fax back to the SIG office.

PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG)

PICMG is the organization responsible for maintaining and enhancing the standards related to Compact PCI. You'll find extensive information about Compact PCI and related issues. You can download a short form of the Compact PCI specs or order the complete specification documents. There is also a directory of Compact PCI products.

VME International Trade Association (VITA)

VITA is the standards keeper and promotional arm of the VME industry.

DIAPM RTAI
 
RTAI stands for Real Time Applications Interface. It is a variation of RTLinux developed by the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Aerospaziale - Politecnico di Milano (DIAPM). This is the primary non-commercial support site for RTAI.
