developers. eg3 is described as a leading portal for embedded systems,

Professional and Technical Consultants
Association (PATCA)

PATCA is an association of over 250 consultants,
all of whom are highly qualified professionals in their respective
disciplines. Intellimetrix is a proud member of PATCA. The web
site has a directory of all members, cross-referenced by name,
company and specialization. There is a referral service whereby
you can request the services of a consultant. Your request is then
e-mailed to all PATCA members.
- PCI Special Interest
Group

This organization maintains the PCI standards.
You'll find news about PCI and information about upcoming events.
Unfortunately the standards themselves are not downloadable, but
you can download an order form that you can fax back to the SIG
office.
- PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers
Group (PICMG)

PICMG is the organization responsible for
maintaining and enhancing the standards related to Compact PCI.
You'll find extensive information about Compact PCI and related
issues. You can download a short form of the Compact PCI specs or
order the complete specification documents. There is also a
directory of Compact PCI products.

(VITA)
- VITA is the standards keeper and promotional arm
of the VME
industry.

world of Open Source that it's hard to know where to begin. The links
listed here deal primarily with embedded and real-time aspects of
Linux.

Linux portal
- This is the starting point for anything to do
with embedded Linux. News, views, links to organizations and
suppliers, the works.

uCLinux
- A port of Linux to microcontrollers without a
Memroy Management Unit. Ports exist for several contemporary
Motorola 68000 controllers, the ARM7TDMI, and the ADI Blackfin,
among others.

RTLinux.org
- This is the non-commercial support site for the
New Mexico Tech version of Real-time Linux.

Time Linux Portal
- The intent of this website is to be an
impartial, technically-oriented, non commercially aligned,
community resource for all those with an interest in the use of
Linux as a real-time O/S. All the popular variants of real-time
Linux are considered.
- DIAPM
RTAI
- RTAI stands for Real Time Applications
Interface. It is a variation of RTLinux developed by the
Dipartimento di Ingegneria Aerospaziale - Politecnico di Milano
(DIAPM). This is the primary non-commercial support site for
RTAI.
